Isabell Sarstedt
Lead 3D Animator – Animation🔻 What are you passionate about within game development?
Animation of course! To give life to the possible characters, creatures and environments in the story and gameplay. It is also the luxury of being creative in so many ways - every day is another new adventure. I also love problem solving and development of work pipelines and communication within the team to make the process as smooth, fun and inspiring for all parts as much as possible. One of the best perks in the industry is to work with like minded nerdy, dorky and yet incredibly professional and passionate people.
🔻 Why Fall Damage?
At Fall Damage, everyone has a place and a voice with everyone in the crew being welcoming and awesome. The crew has managed to find a great balance of passion and professionality of working together making our games, while managing a healthy and respectable work environment. Here, we respect one another regardless of age, gender, discipline or experience in the business. We treat each other with respect and value and we get it in return.
I feel the founders’ idea and practice has been to push for a healthy, fun, inspiring and thriving work environment as it makes a better team and it will lead to a greater product!
🔻 What's your favorite pastime (other than playing games)?
Gaming first of all - adventure games as well as shooters with friends. When not gaming, I spend my pastime playing with and pampering my dog. I also enjoy fantasy and horror movies and various types of music, metal in particular, and poke around a lot with different art and crafts projects.
However, the one thing I love the most and miss is experiencing the world, places, nature, cultures and history.
🔻 What's your all-time favorite game and why?
Many games lie close to my heart, so it is difficult to single out just one. I have a great love for the assassin's creed, dragon age, and uncharted series as well for games such as Witcher 3, the latest God of War and Detroit become human.
However, my all-time favorite and the very game series that drew me to gaming and made me set my mind on working in the industry is the Zelda series. In particular; The legend of Zelda Majora's Mask for its colorful and diverse world adventure with such grave dark layers and undertones that I never came to fully understand and appreciate until many years later in my life.
