UI Artist - Fall Damage Studio, Stockholm or remote in Sweden
Are you all about creating awesome user (read: gamer) experiences? Do you also get slightly provoked by ugly user interfaces when gaming or using applications? Yes? If you are an open and collaborative UI Artist, then we have a spot for you in our delightful Art squad!
Oh, and we put hybrid work first.
- Work from our office in Stockholm (Södermalm)? That works for us!
- Work remotely from anywhere in Sweden? If that suits you.
- Work some days at the office and some days remote? Absolutely!

The quest
You’ll be part of our small experienced crew of designers, artists, and coders working to bring the UI across the entire game to life. You’ll work in close collaboration with the UX Lead, other UI Artists, UI Coders as well as a wide range of other disciplines to bring concepts from early ideas to full-fledged experiences. This includes working on everything from menu screens to HUDs to in-world elements, both on paper and in engine.
As a senior member of our crew, we expect you to challenge the presentation quality of the game and help push for the highest level of quality possible. You’re expected to work proactively by providing rapid feedback to other artists bringing lots of ideas to the table and working with quick iterations together.
The project:
ALARA Prime is our competitive multiplayer FPS with a twist. Here you can find out what the game is all about on our ALARA Prime page, YouTube and at https://www.playalara.com/
Your player profile
Perhaps you are currently working at another studio or maybe you have a strong desire to join the industry, either way, we want you to be a humble and open person, passionate about gaming.
We believe you're an open-minded, collaborative, creative creator and game-enthusiast. You have an eye for details as well as an understanding of how users act when using interfaces. You also possess a solid understanding of how to create 2D assets for user interfaces and/or similar art (and a portfolio that shows it).
Background/Skills:
At least 4 years of experience creating UI or high fidelity interfaces for games
Experience working with layout, typography, iconography, animation, and interaction design
In-engine experience in Unreal Engine
Fluent in English (read/written)
If you have experience working with AAA-titles it’s a bonus, but not a requirement
Expected from all:
Note that we have a zero-tolerance policy for toxic behavior at Fall Damage. We value diversity and take joint responsibility for creating an inclusive and accepting environment where all voices are heard.
Ready to level up? Come join us!
At Fall Damage we believe in potential and diversity, so in other words, we like to get to know YOU. Be yourself and tell us why you are into gaming and/or tech and what parts you actually enjoy doing in your role.
What about relocation?
If you're an EU citizen authorized to work in Sweden, we're all for it! We handle relocations on a case-by-case basis but will be able to assist with the most important part, which is finding a home for you. Unfortunately, we don't have the capability to offer work-permit solutions for non-EU citizens at the moment, something we hope to be able to provide as we grow in the future.
