Senior UI Programmer - Fall Damage Studio, Stockholm or remote in Sweden

We are well on our way with our current title ALARA Prime, which was revealed (pre-alpha) just this July!
You'll be part of our code crew (12 peers) but collaborate cross-functionally with people from different crafts, primarily art and design. Together with our current three experienced UI Programmers you will create and improve the player-facing aspects of our upcoming competitive FPS. Including everything from HUDs and menus to in-world visualizations, and surrounding systems such as systems connected to social play and persistence.
As a senior member of our crew, we also expect you to be proactive and use your previous experiences to question our current way of working with UI. As part of your daily job, you will give your input on UI/UX design. We also expect that you mentor and guide others when needed.
Perhaps you are currently working at another studio or maybe you have a strong desire to join the industry, either way, we want you to be a humble and open person, passionate about gaming.
We believe that you truly enjoy collaborating with people from different crafts to understand what tools and systems are needed to create an epic gaming experience. And of course, to come up with and develop those solutions together with your delightful team.
A strong interest in UX, and an understanding of how UX principles apply to real-time games
At least 7 years of professional experience building UI for interactive media (such as games, simulators, etc.) or equivalent experience
C++ is the home base
Familiarity with the Unreal engine; both the engine itself and common subsystems
Fluent in English

What about relocation?
If you're an EU citizen authorized to work in Sweden, we're all for it! We handle relocations on a case-by-case basis but will be able to assist with the most important part, which is finding a home for you. Unfortunately, we don't have the capability to offer work-permit solutions for non-EU citizens at the moment, something we hope to be able to provide as we grow in the future.
